Hokkaido is the Northern most island on the Japanese Archipelago. Culturally traditional and abundant in natural wonders, the island's rich heritage was an ideal backdrop in which to meet amazing artisans, learn about ancient crafts that are still alive and well today and select a few incredible pieces for our customers.

Hokkaido
"Konichiwa", the staff behind the desk at Aomori's ferry terminal greet us with typical Japanese alacrity. It's 7 a.m. and we feel utterly exhausted. Having driven over 700km from Tokyo's Narita airport over the past couple of days to make it this far, it is perhaps inevitable.
