Ceramic - Eniwa-dake Tea Pot
The Japanese treat the process of preparing tea as a method to tranquillise the mind. Tea ware has thus been designed to turn a daily ritual into moments of artistic appreciation.
Whether you prefer using the ubiquitous tea bag or like the indulgence of brewing loose leaf tea, this unique teapot is a tactile celebration of everyday authentic vernacular craftsmanship. It is ideal for those who like to drink tea on their own and even comes with a stainless steel strainer.
Handmade by a self-taught Hokkaido based potter using local clay. Every score on this unglazed teapot is an attempt to capture the hardened lava flows found near Mount Eniwa, a volcanically active mountain on the northwestern shores of Lake Shikotsu.

Product Story
"Konichiwa", the staff behind the desk at Aomori's ferry terminal greet us with typical Japanese alacrity. It's 7 a.m. and we feel utterly exhausted. Having driven over 700km from Tokyo's Narita airport over the past couple of days to make it this far, it is perhaps inevitable.
