Ceramic - Speckled Sauce Pot

Revered as gift from the gods, salmon is an essential part of Ainu cuisine. The speckled glaze is intended to capture the mist over the grey waters of the Tokachi river in Hokkaido. This is a rendition of a much loved pattern of Japanese tableware.

Practical and stylish for serving a jolly nice jam, some homemade dip or a salad dressing. It even comes with a little spoon!

Product Story
Hokkaido

"Konichiwa", the staff behind the desk at Aomori's ferry terminal greet us with typical Japanese alacrity. It's 7 a.m. and we feel utterly exhausted. Having driven over 700km from Tokyo's Narita airport over the past couple of days to make it this far, it is perhaps inevitable.
